Friday 6:00 for 6.30 PM start

These evenings are from mid May to mid September. Members need to arrive by 6 PM to get out targets and set up their equipment. We aim to start promptly at 6:30 PM. If you arrive late you will not be able to shoot an official round and record a score.

Club Sundays

Morning 9.30 for 10.00 AM start

Afternoon 1:15 for 1.30 PM start

The club have shoots on Sundays all year round. You do not need to shoot all day but can, of course, do so if you wish. Various rounds are shot on Sundays and a list is published (see programme page ). The club competions take place on Sundays and there are awards to be won. On competion days, if possible, we ask members to shoot for the whole day to make the competition worthwhile.

In the winter months, between November and March, Sunday shoots are shorter and only in the mornings, called a Frostbite. These are rounds of 3 dozen arrows shot at 30 meters onto an 80cm target face.

On Sundays, as with evening shoots, prompt arrival is required.

The club hire a hall at Portsmouth City Girls School, St. Marys Road, Fratton. On these evenings members usually shoot a Portsmouth round, which is 5 dozen arrows at 20 yards onto a 60cm target. To cover the cost of hall hire there is a small additional charge of £3 per head.
